Overview
The Wyvern Prototyping platform has four distinct stages. These are
1. Initial investigation stage
2. Iterative assembly stage
3. Workshop stage
4. Integration requirement stage
Initial Investigation stage
This stage is to meet and greet with the main players within the integration project such as business SMEs, Solution Architects, business stakeholders and project manager. The main outputs from this stage may include (i) Stakeholder matrix, cross functional process maps and legacy transaction summary to understand scope.
Iterative assembly stage
The SMEs are engaged to provide transaction processing screenshots from the in-scope legacy systems. These are imported into the prototyping platform in image format and grouped together by application and business process. This will be an iterative process to enable refinement of the imported screens in collaboration with the business SME(s).
Workshop stage
The SMEs of all in-scope applications and business processes are invited to a collaborative workshop to discuss the integration requirements. The images of the transactional screens are referenced and modified during this workshop to make it clear what the business requirements are. Notes are also taken and stored on the prototyping platform. This is all done via MS teams or other collaborative tools that can share the information on the prototyping platform to attendees of a virtual workshop.
Integration requirements stage
The notes and modified transaction screen images are input to the formulation of integration requirements. These can have different formats depending on the style of the project and the way requirements are presented. This would include Jira epics and Jira user stories.
