Wyvern  Integrated Prototyping platform
Problem Statement
Addressing this problem
The Wyvern Prototyping tool is designed to bridge the communication gap between IT specialists and SMEs. The prototyping tool will accept screen captures sourced from integrated legacy application screens that are being accessed through real time API technology. These will be grouped into logical frames and then presented back to the SMEs as part of a requirements elicitation session. The purpose of the tool is to provide a visual aid that may help prompt discussions on business requirements in an integrated application environment using API as the means to delivery integration.
Many Integration projects that rely on API technology are IT driven because the nature of the solution is highly technical. SMEs from different business areas are approached to provide requirements because they are responsible for legacy systems that are being accessed in real time via API. Their scope is through the perspective of legacy system processing screens. IT specialists are tasked with deploying integration solutions. They see integration scope in terms of databases, schemas and data being stored across an integrated IT ecosystem. From these different perspectives, a communications gap may spring up between the two different mindsets.
